Daily Practice

Starting a yoga practice can be intimidating for beginners. The key is  first to find a teacher that is the right fit. Once you find a "practice that speaks to you, stick with it at least a month. Some people may need private one on one classes to work around health or physical issues. Give your body , mind and spirit time to get into the routine of having a regular yoga practice. There is more going on in a yoga practice then just the postures ( which we call "asanas") . A complete yoga practice should involve breathing ( pranayama),  some sort of meditation, relaxation and the postures, otherwise it is merely a form of exercise.  The other aspect of a yoga practice is you  are evolving as a person in your own practice. You learn" the good the bad and the ugly about your mind, body and attitude!  Having an open mind and heart will be very helpful to allow the body to open and relax. Allowing us to handle the stress of our daily life a lot easier physically and mentally.
