Have Fun in Your Practice

Yoga is meant to bring our body mind and spirit to a state of "bliss". It is so simple yet most of us think we have to work very hard to get that pose just right or stop our thoughts completely so we can absorb the benefits of meditation. Not so. We put these limitations of how our practice should be on ourselves. Next time you walk onto your mat establish an intention for your practice of "letting go" and enjoy what unfolds. Come to your practice with the mind of a child, open, carefree, ego free. Once you can let your mind be free to enjoy the practice that unfolds the body will follow into positions with ease and comfort. The mind will slowly become stiller, the breath will be calm and soft. The possibilities in your practice and daily life will be endless.  Relax and have fun.
