Fall Yoga- Change of Seasons

In our yoga practice we set an intention to allow our practice to "feed" our need in that particular moment : feed our spirit, our bodies, our state of mind.. As the season changes our need to change our practice may not be obvious at first. As we notice the change of season we should also be aware of how our body feels as the weather gets colder, maybe last month we did our pose this way with more emphasis on backing off as to not over heat , today we may stay a bit longer in the desired pose to warm up not only the muscles , but the fascia that support the muscle , tendon and or ligament.
As well as being aware of our physical body , our breath practice could be more deliberate or we may just want to take a bit more time to see what the breath is doing .
Another aspect of our daily practice is to notice the food we eat , nurturing ourselves with warm, comfort food , not only because the air is cooler but to honor our bodies as the weather changes.
Take time in your day to notice the light changing, the feel of the air on your skin, take a moment this fall to just "be"
